First Chairman of the Board for The Plan
Thirteen years as Executive Director for The Plan

By the grace of God we are in our eighteenth year of operation and my thirteenth year of service as the Executive Director. The primary goal of establishing this Retirement Plan was to ensure that our employees had a comfortable income in their retirement years. By the grace of God that goal has been reached. The next milestone is to reach Full-Funding which means having in hand 100% of all the funds needed to pay for all the financial promises we have made to the employees of the nine Regional Conferences. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for the success of the journey thus far. His grace will lead us on.

While traveling throughout the conferences in the North American Division, it is evident that retirement with dignity continues to be a desired outcome. Our faithful members and workers have always been thankful for the blessings that the Lord has provided. Entering retirement with the assurance that the Lord will take care of us reinforces the promise that He is our Shepherd and “we shall not want.”(Ps. 23:1)

As you visit this site, please remember that the faithfulness of God’s people provides the bounty that sustains us. Please rejoice with us as we continue the journey that leads to “Finishing His Work.”(Joh. 4:34)

Our Valuable Team Members

Elaine Allston
Elaine AllstonAssistant Director
Elaine is a native of California. Her parents selected a Christian school for their only daughter; never thinking that one day, the religious beliefs taught at that academy would be adopted and embraced by their daughter. It was only natural that she would follow her new friends to Huntsville, Alabama to Oakwood (then) College. She finished Oakwood with a degree in Communications.

Elaine is tagged as a communicator because she is the receiver of denominational news and has created a large “sharing data base” to forward noteworthy information.

Twenty-seven years and counting, Elaine has worked in denominational service in a variety of positions:

HHES Customer Service Representative – Columbia Union Conference
Communication’s Assistant – VISITOR Magazine – Columbia Union Conference
Administrative Assistant/Office Manager — President’s Office and IT Department – Oakwood University
In 2002, Elaine joined the staff of the Office for Regional Conference Ministry (ORCM) and the Regional Conference Retirement Plan (RCRP) as the Administrative Assistant. In 2009, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Director for both ORCM and RCRP.

Elaine is married to Thomas (Tim) G. Allston, III, and they have one daughter, Morgan.
